Oh, it looks nice outside! Not in a snowy way (no snow :( ) but just in a bright wintery day way. Pale blue sky striated with long, thin clouds, and stiff, bare branches. LOL we're on the second floor, so that's all I can see from the living room window. Anyhow, I'VE BROKEN UP FOR CHRISTMAS!! WOO!!! Extremely excited: I have two weeks off - I haven't had a break that long all year, and I think I need it, even though work is really awesome at the moment. And when I say awesome, I mean OMG TOTALLY FUCKING AWESOME LIEK WOAH! So that's nice.
Anyway, I've just had a shower, made a present for Katie's parents, finished presents for Kathye and Helen, and I just need to tidy up a bit (maybe), get dressed and head out to Kathye's for Christmas party joy. This evening, Katie and I are planning to go and see St Trinian's 2 at the kino, which I am looking forward to, because I loved the first one. Here's hoping the sequel delivers.
I suppose I should get on with the whole dressing thing. Ciao ciao, darlings.
What's up with these LJ statistics? Is it counting every time someone scrolls past an entry or people who actually read the entry. I'm thinking it just counts every time someone scrolls past, because it says something about counting people again when they click on and LJ-cut and again if they comment, blah, blah.
That's kind of a useless statistic if it just counts people who happened to have seen the entry on their friends page or on a comm friends page or something.
I mean, no way over 500 people are reading my A Little Drab'll Do Ya posts. Those are free-written, unedited, unspellchecked, snippets of an unfinished story or stories.
This is exactly why I always put my hit counters behind an LJ cut, that way I know people actually read the entry that got counted, and I set it to only record new visitors so it didn't count everyone twenty times just for looking at an entry and commenting. Sigh... when I updated this layout I forgot to add the sitemeter to the sidebar.
Can anyone think of a real use for this new feature? It's hardly specific enough to tell me anything. Or am I just understanding it wrong? I mean, who really wants to know how many people scrolled past an entry unless they're posting advertisements or something?
*scratches head* I don't get it.
Though, I am amused that the My Guests feature doesn't show a single one of my actual friends reading my journal. You're all invisible aren't you, you sneaky buggers, LOL? I'm not, but you wouldn't know that, cuz you're invisible. :P

If your work has a drawing for free Subway gift cards and puts you in charge of both distributing the raffle tickets and drawing a ticket from the bucket while saying, "Don't worry, no one's drawn their own number yet," you will draw your own number.
If the above happens, the Subway tastes just as good whether people think you cheated or not.
If you mention to hubby that people will ship anything (i.e. Kradam and the Jonas brothers) he will openly admit that he'd ship Miley Cyrus and Hillary Duff.
If you show up to work having only brought some cereal and a banana for dinner, people will feed you.
And if you check your email at work because you're about to fall asleep on your feet, finding out that some dude named British Bull Dog really likes "Go Fish," will put a fresh spring in your step.
Long story short: You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you just my find, you get what you need.
Now, what I need is sleeeeeeeeeppppppp. Also, I need you to read calamitycrow's scifibigbang fic Apohphenia Lux, because everything she writes is amazing.
